Educational Consultation and Advocacy
Consultation addresses questions about school placement to best suit a students leaning needs, specific services, implementation of IEPS and 504 plans and navigating school systems, programs and procedures. I can assist you with a review of previous testing, school records, IEPS and accommodations and help you determine the best educational fit, be it public or private.
Advocacy is at times necessary to insure a student’s learning and social/emotional needs are met in the educational setting. I can assist and coach parents and adult learners as they work with service providers to access needed services. I aim to work cooperatively with schools and agencies to acquire needed support and interventions whether publicly or privately provided.
